Horseshoe Bay Lodge

Our large family of 40 had an absolutely amazing time at Horseshoe Bay Lodge in Walker, Minnesota AGAIN this year! I think this is our 5 th year at this resort! This lakeside gem was tailor‑made for our crew—spacious, comfortable, and surrounded by fun. We stayed in the Horseshoe rooms, which were absolutely ideal for our group size. Each room featured a private bathroom, bar refrigerator, and microwave, so everyone had their own little home-away-from-home. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained. If we have any maintenance issues the problem is resolved within a couple hours! They are very attentive! The best part? Our Horseshoe lodging came with a fully equipped kitchen, banquet hall, and a sandy beach right at our doorstep. We cooked family-style group meals, gathered for lively dinners and game nights in the banquet hall, and the kids spent hours splashing around on the shore. The convenience of having everything in one place. Beyond the lodging, the setting at Horseshoe Bay Lodge is stunning. Nestled on the lake, it offers beautiful views, calm waters perfect for swimming, fishing and boating, and plenty of space for both relaxation and activity. Whether we were lounging on the beach, taking a boat out, or roasting marshmallows by a campfire, there was something for everyone. The owners schedule activities each day for the children and sometimes families: karaoke, tie-dying, etc. Highly recommend Horseshoe Bay Lodge for family reunions, large group getaways, or anyone seeking a relaxed, lakeside retreat with all the comforts you need. We’re already planning our return!

While I haven't been very successful fishing on leech lake, I like this resort. Always willing to point you in the right direction on the lake, decent priced clean rooms and a great marina. Great food and hospitality, all around good spot.

Just wanna say Thank you to Horseshoe Bay Lodge and their team especially TJ for finding my cellphone I dropped at the lodge over the past weekend. I am very grateful for it thanks for everything . Will definitely visit again like i do every year . Always a good time !

Place is great! Cannot say enough good about this place. Fun for the entire family. Really nice beach with water toys canoes kayaks water bikes. Perfect harbor even if it’s windy you are protected. Owners are very down to earth and personable. You surely feel like family as soon as you arrive. Laid back but fun atmosphere. Pool side rooms are a great value and plenty to do. The food at the restaurant is amazing and I mean amazing! I am very picky but they knock it out of the park everytime with big portions and just great tasting food. Burgers are real not frozen! Fresh cut fries and cheese curds are the best!! Docking boat is great and very well protected. Riley the dock hand was great. Was right there to help before I was even ready! He sees you coming he is there to help in any way he can. When you return he is immediately there to help and clean the fish for you wrap them up and put in freezer for you or they will cook them for you too! Great place all around. Whatever you do keep the cooks you have they are amazing!!! Hard to find these days! Great job Cam and Courtney. Keep up the awesome work!!

We've been going on our annual family vacation for 26 years, and for the past 5, Horseshoe Bay Lodge has been our go-to spot. It’s hands down the best place we’ve found for our large extended family of 40. The accommodations are perfect from the beautiful beach and huge marina to the indoor pool, jacuzzi, large kitchen, ballroom, and spacious courtyard that’s ideal for family activities. Cam and Courtney are incredibly attentive, and the entire staf...from maintenance to housekeeping...are friendly, helpful, and clearly take pride in keeping the lodge looking great. Highly recommend for large group getaways! The fishing on Leech Lake is awesome as well!

Beautiful family owned resort on Leech Lake, you will enjoy your time here no matter what season you visit. Great accommodations, bar/grill, boat lunch, docks, swimming pool and hottub. Perfect place for your family to come and relax or come for the weekend and fish. You will be relaxed when you leave here and meet life long friends.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Gem on Leech Lake! I’ve been coming to Horseshoe Bay Lodge for over 15 years, and wow — the difference since Cam and his wife took over is incredible. You can tell how much heart they’ve put into every detail. They even opened early and put on an awesome breakfast buffet for the Vikings game in London — talk about going above and beyond! The food here is unreal (did I mention how amazing it is?). The prime rib is top-notch, and if you’re in a cabin near the kitchen, good luck saying no to whatever’s smoking out back. The fishing tips are gold, Cody will make sure to hook you up — they’ll even clean your catch and cook it up for you! Add in the pool, hot tub, grills, and fire pits, and you’ve got a one-stop lake getaway with the best sunrises you’ll ever see. Oh, and make sure to stop by the bar — Cat is the best bartender around! She’s so sweet and never lets your glass go empty. Don’t sleep on this place — they’re open year-round and just keep getting better!
